It used to be the norm that tyre manufactures wanted you to rotate the tyres on the car so that they had the best chance of wearing evenly but nowadays many believe that this advice has changed. At Darra Tyres we still believe that for cars and commercial vehicles tyre rotation can help extend the life of your tyre.
In the case of replacing a single tyre it is best advice to place the best tyre on the back along with the tyre closest to the new one.
Depending on the vehicle, tyre rotation holds true although if you are driving a truck with directional tyres on the front and asymmetric tyres on the back you will need to match the treads.
