Brief tyre check costs Queensland truck driver his life…
A Queensland truck driver was killed when a passing truck hit him while stopping to check his tyres on the side of Newell Highway in NSW earlier this year.
The 45-year-old man had pulled over to check the rear tyres of his B-double semi when a passing truck hit and killed him. Upon inspection the truck was found to have under inflated tyres on both sets of rear wheels.
