Tyre Purchasing Terms & Conditions

1. Quote & Pricing Terms

Quote Validity

  • Quote valid until end of month, subject to stock availability.
  • Prices quoted are subject to change without notice after the validity period.
  • Quotes are based on estimated labour costs and materials available at time of preparation.

Pricing Inclusions

  • All prices include GST unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices include fitting, balancing, new tubeless valves, GST, and tyre disposal.
  • Price does not include wheel alignment (quoted separately if required).
  • Outside Service, Delivery and fitting charges are additional unless otherwise specified.
  • A tax invoice will be provided upon completion of services.

2. Ownership & Retention of Title

Retention of Title Clauses

  • Risk in the goods passes to the buyer upon delivery, however ownership remains with us until payment is complete.
  • We reserve the right to repossess goods if invoices are not paid by the due date.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is required in full before collection or delivery of goods.
  • For account customers, payment is due within 14 days of end of month.
  • A deposit may be required to confirm your booking.
  • We accept cash, EFTPOS, credit card, and other approved payment methods.
  • Interest may be charged on overdue accounts at 8% per annum.
  • Late payment fees of $20 per day may apply to overdue accounts.
  • We reserve the right to withhold goods or services until all outstanding amounts are paid.

3. Deposits & Cancellations

  • A deposit is required to secure your order and booking.
  • Deposits are non-refundable unless cancelled within 24 hours of booking.
  • A cancellation fee of 10% of the total purchase price applies.
  • Special orders cannot be cancelled once placed with suppliers.
  • Tyres left at our premises for more than 30 days without contact may be disposed of.
  • Cancelled or returned orders within 30 days of purchase are ineligible for promotional offers.

4. Stock & Availability

  • All products are subject to availability at time of order.
  • We will contact you to confirm availability prior to finalising your booking.
  • Stock levels may vary from store to store.
  • Tyres must be new (not second-hand, factory seconds, or aged stock).
  • Stock must be supplied by an authorised Australian distributor.

5. Warranties & Guarantees

Manufacturer Warranty

  • All tyres are covered by the manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
  • Warranty is valid for 6 years from date of purchase or until minimum legal tread depth, whichever occurs first.
  • Warranty claims are subject to manufacturer assessment and approval.
  • Pro-rata replacement applies based on remaining tread depth (e.g., 50% worn = 50% credit).
  • Original purchase invoice must be retained as proof of purchase.
  • Warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable.

Warranty Exclusions

  • Damage caused by road hazards, punctures, cuts, or impact breaks.
  • Damage from under-inflation, over-inflation, or being driven while flat.
  • Irregular wear due to misalignment or lack of maintenance.
  • Damage from racing, competition, or off-road use outside recommendations.
  • Fire, theft, vandalism, or vehicle collision.
  • Improper installation, repairs, or modifications.
  • Customer-supplied tyres or second-hand tyres.

Service Guarantees

  • Wheel alignment guaranteed for 90 days (provided all recommended repairs are completed).
  • New wheels guaranteed for 12 months against structural defects.
  • Work completed by our technicians is guaranteed against faulty workmanship.

6. Satisfaction & Exchange Policies

  • Michelin Tyres: If not satisfied with your tyres, return within 30 days or 1,000km (whichever comes first) for exchange.
  • Exchange only for tyres of equal or greater value (no refunds).
  • Tyres must be in original condition with no damage or excessive wear.
  • Applies to the original purchaser and original vehicle only.
  • We do not accept returns

7. Australian Consumer Law Compliance

  • Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
  • You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure.
  • You are entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
  • You are entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality.
  • Nothing in these terms restricts your rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
  • These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia.

8. Liability & Customer Responsibility

  • It is the customer's responsibility to re-check wheel nut tensions within 50km of fitment.
  • Regular pressure checks, rotations, and alignments are recommended every 12 months or 10,000-15,000km.
  • Unless otherwise stated, We are not liable for damage caused by road hazards, kerb damage, or accidents.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring tyres selected are suitable for intended use and comply with legal requirements.
  • Vehicle modifications may affect legality - contact relevant authorities before modifications.
  • We accept no liability for minor cosmetic marks on rims during fitting (best efforts are made).
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses including loss of time, inconvenience, or commercial losses.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

  • We collect personal information to process orders, provide services, and contact you regarding your purchase.
  • Your information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles.
  • We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • Information may be shared with service partners for warranty claims or fitting services.
  • We may use your details to send service reminders, promotions, or product recalls.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
  • The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
  • If any provision of these terms is void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
  • These terms represent the entire agreement between the parties.
